Over the past 2 years, Seattle-based singer-songwriter, Dorothea honed her sound and song-writing to reflect not only the world at large, but her place within it. Her debut single "Mean Woman" is a culmination of breaking out as her solo-project and follows her appearance in Tame Impala's "Lost In Yesterday" music video earlier in 2020.

Inspired by the likes of Lana Del Rey, Angel Olsen, and Joni Mitchell, "Mean Woman" touches on the complicated and often contradictory relationships people, particularly women, have with image. By confronting her own worst critic head-on in the track, Dorothea wades through a lifetime of internalized expectations, willfully strateling the line between self-loathing and loving through this tender rocker.

Dorothea recorded "Mean Woman" with local Seattle producer, Hunter Rath and musicians,Joe August, Chase Rabideau, and Wyatt Gardner.
